Because it belongs to a class of drugs called Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAO I's) it should not be given with antidepressants such as Prozac. The usual dose for Cushing's disease is 0.45mg/pound by mouth once a day in the morning. The usual dose for canine cognitive dysfunction is 0.2-0.45mg/pound.
